Powder Coating

Background

Precision Industries operates a powder coating facility in Dubai Al Quoz Industrial Area and specializes in powder coating to metal panels, frames, enclosures and other similar metal components.

The powder coating plant consists of four main stages:

1.      Chemical Pretreatment

2.      Drying oven

3.      Electro Static Powder spray booth

4.      Curing Oven

Cleaning is required to remove residual oil and dirt, and phosphate pre-treatment is commonly used to enhance paint adhesion and corrosion resistance.

·          Degrease + Iron phosphating solutions using components of the company Henkel/Germany (GRAMETAL PLUS and DURADINE3821ST)

·          Rinse IN City water

·          Passivating solution (DEOXYLITE41) + Rinse in DI water at final rinse stage  

Drying Oven

After final rinsing the parts are entered to the drying oven which is operated at 85 Cº to insure dry and clean surface of the metal parts before they pass to the electrostatic spray booth.

Electrostatic Powder Spray

The spray machines are from company GEMA /Switzerland; the conveyor chain is passing through the spray booth with the parts suspended inside the booth. Due to electro statically charged powder particle will deposit themselves to the metal parts with zero charge.

Curing Oven

The curing oven is designed to provide required curing temperature at 200 Cº and continuously controlled at +/- 1 Cº.

Compliance with International Standards

We fully comply with test and performance requirements of these BS and European standards BS EN 12206-1:2004.
